I had my modded GAP Pre 73 preamps for 3 years now and they are absolutely the best preamps in my rig. I use them for tracking, mixbus, and mid-side mixing. The difference between the original and the modded preamps is that the modded preamps does not have that wooly gain and has smooth saturation above 40db of gain.
