Just tried my newly modded Golden Age Mic Pre 73 and all I have to say is WOW what an improvement. I recorded vocals with a rock singer, nice and smooth and handled the dynamics with no problems. Then I recorded my problem client. Always have to go through his vocal and clean up in the 100-200 range. Today smooth in the low miss and retained nice low end. Also he doesn’t control his volume too well and we have one song that has some lines that always sound crispy around the edges. We redid them with the mod and he was super happy with the quality.
