On
the ADA8000 we offer two different tiers of modifications with our Gold and
Platinum Modification Packages.
Both
are an excellent value with very good Price-to Performance ratios just like the
rest of our modification services.

Stock
these are a nice Lightbridge for the money but have little to no character,
very little low end frequency response and not a lot of detail.
With
our modifications, We have turned these classic units into a professional piece
with loads of frequency response, a lower noise floor and excellent clarity.
About
the power supply: One issue with the original design is that the power supplies
are poorly designed and prone to failure.
This
has also been addressed in our modification process for year of worry free
service by re-designing the power supply and installing a new Analog power
transformer as well.

and Platinum Modification Packages
Both
services offer a full Analog path modification for all eight channels of analog
input and output using high performance Burr Brown Amplifiers at the heart and
soul of the design.
The
analog mods on these interfaces offer a wonderfully warm sound with a great
girth to them that when compared to the original sounds like a totally new box
and as good as boxes costing three times as much.
The
Platinum package takes the modifications further by offering converter
De-coupling and coupling techniques for an even broader and more accurate image
of the audio from the converters.
Then finally we perform a power supply modification for maximum bandwidth and
headroom.
With the modifications we get a lot more bandwidth, lower noise, cleaner and
larger audio with a lot more headroom.
The modifications really help to see inside the mix with excellent detail.
Overall musicality is improved significantly in both packages and the audio
image becomes clearer, smoother and well defined just like you would expect
from a Revive Audio modified piece.
