We are proud to release a new modification service into the wild on a new popular product from Warm Audio, the WA-MPX

The WA-MPX is a very cool and unique design with some character, but does seem to lack the warmth one would expect from the design, though stock it is actually surprising in its price range.

Warm Audio is great at delivering affordable gear that sounds good to great in its price range.

In terms of authenticity we are a bit in left field here, so the goal from our perspective is to simply make this the very best it can be and pump as much possible performance into the design. The Cinemag transformers do a lot to warm this guy up stock. 

About the Modifications:

On these we do a complete audio path upgrade using premium parts for lower noise and higher headroom as well as lower distortion as well as longevity.

All Audio caps (tube coupling caps) are swapped out for better performance using Panasonic Parts and Orange Drop Capacitors in the audio path for more authenticity, character, audio width and longer life.

Values are adjusted throughout for the best possible performance.

Bypassing is performed where necessary for lower noise in the power supply lines.

Power supply modifications are also performed thru out for the lowest possible noise figures in the overall design and better current delivery. The power transformer in these is a bit smaller so adjustments had to be made.

Two key tube locations are swapped using Low noise Tungsol tubes, replacing the Pesane Chinese tubes; The first location is already a Tungsol.

Post mod These are wonderful sounding units with a lot of dynamic range and big bottom end, smooth character and low noise, just the way you like it.

Each unit has been professionally modified by our technicians and given the seal of approval to go to work at your home or in your studio, record ready!
