On the 163X/A we offer two different tiers of modifications with our Gold and Platinum Modification Packages.

Gold Package:

Includes a full analog path modification plus power supply modification: $149.99

Platinum Package:

Includes all of the Gold package options+ an "A" Rated VCA upgrade and sidechain modification for theLowest distortion possible:$184.99

The Improvements:

The modifications really clear the mud on these classic units as well as widen the frequency response, increase the headroom and lower the noise.

The low end and top end extension is pretty significant and as a consequence the detail of the audio image is dramatically improved and moved into the professional territory.

The compression is smoothed out a lot as well with much lower artifacts if the VCA mod is chosen.  

The results are excellent making these classic auto compressors a go to for Pro's and project studios alike on things like Vocals,Drums and Bass to name a few.
