Here we have our modification Service for the Midas 512 EQ module

A well known brand for quality and audio performance the 500 series Midas modules pack a lot of punch and value, but we thought, can we take it to another level?

The design is SMD based with ceramic parts for filter capacitors and average quality amps.

The audio coupling capacitors also leave something to be desired as they lack what a good audio performance capacitor would and should provide.

Stock they are a decent eq but lack punch, warmth and general weight.

What we do:

First We pull audio audio coupling capacitors out of the circuit and install low noise Panasonic audio parts for better audio mojo and lower noise.

Install Wima filter capacitors for all bands for lower noise and more musicality.

Install High performance Burr Brown amps in all of the filter banks for better response and added warmth.

Power rail tweaks for lower noise and better current delivery.

The results are lower noise, higher headroom, more detail and bandwidth as well as general audio punch and mojo.
